Welcome to Textout, a product of Pixelera Technologies LLP, a company based in India. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you register and use Textout:

• Full Name – provided during account registration
• Email Address – used for account login and communication
• Phone Number – collected during account setup
• Profile Photo – uploaded voluntarily by you
• User-Generated Content – messages, media, and content you create within the app
• Device Information – device type, OS version, and unique device identifiers
• Usage Data – app interactions and feature usage collected via analytics tools
• Location Data – approximate or precise location, only when you grant permission
• Payment Information – transaction data processed through Google Play Billing (we do not store card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your Textout account
• Enable chat, messaging, and real-time communication features
• Send push notifications relevant to your activity
• Process in-app purchases via Google Play Billing
• Analyse app performance and improve user experience using PostHog and Sentry
• Monitor and fix errors and crashes (via Sentry)
• Comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law

3. Third-Party Services

Textout integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

4. Permissions We Request

Textout may request the following device permissions:

• Camera – to capture photos for profile pictures or content
• Storage / Media – to read and save images, videos, and audio files
• Push Notifications – to send you alerts, messages, and updates
• Location – to provide location-based features (only when permitted)

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device settings.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted through Firebase (Google Cloud). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app by going to Settings → scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account". Your account and all data will be permanently deleted immediately. Alternatively, you may contact us at pixeleratech@gmail.com and we will process your request within 30 days in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws.

7. Children's Privacy

Textout is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it immediately.

8. User-Generated Content

Content you create, share, or upload through Textout (including messages, images, and other media) is your responsibility. By using the app, you grant Pixelera Technologies LLP a limited licence to store and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service. We do not sell your content to third parties.

9. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• Lodge a complaint with a relevant data protection authority

Textout has a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to maintaining a safe environment for all users.

Our commitments include:

• We do not allow any content that sexually exploits or abuses minors in any form
• We immediately remove any CSAE content upon detection or report
• We report any CSAE content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities
• We permanently ban any user found sharing or promoting CSAE content
• Users can report CSAE content directly through the app
